Just wanted to check my understanding of the Reg's with regards stove hearths.
plan is for a free standing stove (Charnwood C4) in the corner of the front room. The floor is a suspended wooden floor.
As the C4 doesn't raise the floor temp over 100 degrees (+ we'll probably have it with the raised legs/wood store option too), can I get away with legally! a hearth stone pad thingy on top of the wooden floor or not?
Or will I have to put a concrete section in the corner for the stove then put the top on? and as it's free standing it has to be 840cm square in size yeah?
cheers
Keith - yep, if the stove is specified as not raising the floor temp above 100+ you can get away with a non-combustible 12mm hearth over the floor.
