SSEN website says compensation will be sent automatically and claims are not needed. Cheques would be sent out as soon as possible and hopefully before Christmas.
Anyone seen anything yet?
OFGEM and OFWAT have directives in place for this so you can calculate what they owe you:

Weve not heard a peep as yet.
We got a cheque this week to cover a couple of hot meals we had, but no statutory compensation as yet.
SSE cheque arrived here this morning. I hadn't been in touch with them so it was a very nice surprise.
Yeah, got mine last week, a day after the initial letter. Paying 20% above statutory and cap lifted as well. Our two and a bit days was £84. At least it covers the food from fridge and freezer we had to bin. Put in my hot food claim on Monday, will see when we eventually get that with holidays coming up.
Arrived today, £420 for 4days. Nice little bonus for Christmas.
I found out this week that SP Energy are not always automatically sending out compo cheques so if you haven't received anything get your claim in quick as the deadline is fast approaching.
You can also claim for a hot meal allowance and as were out for 64 hours we are getting £290 for the hours we were off supply and £160 for hot food.
We’ve had a grand or so from them & £60 for a focus group.
