There's a particular tyre I like which is rarely available so I thought about buying a few and storing. Does anyone know the best way to do this and how long realistically they should remain in good shape?
Thanks in advance
Bill

Can't give a number but this page from Continental suggests storing long term in vacum emptied airtight bags to reduce evapouration of oils.

As tyres are OK on cars for a number of years the airtight method may only be needed for long term storage. Anything going to be used in the next 5 years just on a shelf away from UV light should be enough. Though going airtight won't do any harm.

Keep them out of sunlight and I bet you could use them in ten years time no bother.

I'm still using Continental Grand Prix tubulars I bought in the 90s. Kept in a box in a dry place. I blow them up to 12bar to check and then use them at 10bar.
