Is there such a thing anyone has used before? Looking on the likes of shutterstock, but the pickings are slim.

i need to find landmark style images for a range of small towns and areas around glasgow, the surrounding area and, ayrshire and the clyde coast.

Likes of East kilbride, Ayrshire, Largs, Langside, Dumbarton, Newton Mearns... that kind of thing.

Is there's such a site in existance? I'm not hold out much hope. Reckon I'll need to send someone out to take pics. but would prefer stock, as I've not got a professional photographer to work with, just someone that could snap, with a decent camera, and we'll know a good photo requires much more than that.

Any thoughts appreciated.

Flickr? - the home of talented amateurs who might licence their pics if asked nicely?

Local photographic clubs?

Councils? - most local authorities employ a full time photographer

Local Newspapers?

*EDIT* They a flickr page for different regions with the looks of it.

May not be what you are looking for but this site is a pretty good resource which I've used when planning trips - the images on the site are probably not of sufficient quality or resolution for what you need but if you get in touch they may be able to provide hi res versions.

They seem to cover a fair part of the areas you mention (use the A-Z index)

Really. My local council certainly does. I've met her a few times and she's a very nice lady.

Here's why...

My neighbour runs an image library, I know nothing about it other than it specialises in Scottish images. http://www.scottishviewpoint.com/

Pay me to drive around and take them for you. I've done this kind of thing a few times for various companies and it's my favourite job ever. 😀
