I know there are already threads on this but I still haven't found the perfect mug.

I want it to be able to fit in a bottle cage and be able to take a swig as I'm riding along. Does this exist?

Why?

If you're riding a bike, ride it.
If you're drinking coffee, drink it.

I bought a yeti mug for Mrs anagallis recently seems good. The lid means you can drink from any angle which is good

Contigo transit but it does not fit in all bottle cages. works best in an alloy one

Yeti are the bestest, but not sure if they make anything bottle cage friendly.

The one I linked to above fits is a bottle cage.

Deboyo thermal bottle is good too but everywhere seems out of stock hence theYeti for my other half.

crikey - you mean you don't take a portable grinder with you on every ride to make an artisanal single origin Ethiopian v60? You're doing cycling all wrong.

Where is that jam-bo?

Vixen tor. west side of Dartmoor.

I should add, having hot coffee on a cold bike ride is awesome. Can open and drink from the earthwell one handed. That’s the 350ml version, they do larger ones.

I have one of the hydro flask ones.
I have to make drinks with less than boiling water if i want to drink them in the next 2 hours. It's actually too insulating for that. totally leak proof so far though

I'd go with the Contigo West ones as well. Use it at work and with a black coffee its often an hour before I can even drink it as its keeps it warm so well.

My Earthwell Roaster worked OK on road rides. A white coffee probably warm enough to drink after 2 hours at around 2 or 3 degrees.
A non milky drink has lasted a fair bit longer. (Hot Apple and Cinnamon)

Recently bought a kambukka etna and it’s ace, very leak proof and easy to drink from, holds heat for hours and it’s £20 on Amazon at the moment - fits very well in a bottle cage

I've been through several re-usable coffee cups, but have settled on the yeti ones - they are completely indestructible, but more importantly they seem to get the lids right (which is what most others get wrong).

I have one of these (with "magslide lid") for everyday use:

And then this one (same as AA listed above) for putting in a bag/taking in the car etc. The only one I've found that is 100% leak proof, you can put it in the dishwasher, and doesn't have an annoying springy/clippy lid/spout thing:

^ that will fit in a bottle cage I think - but I haven't checked.

I'm a big advocate of Yeti stuff... it's expensive, but it's well designed and will survive a nuclear blast

I've one by Bubba brand, USA its ceramic lined, rubber coated and fits in my blackburn bottle cage. 16oz, and its only about 20 quid, so a tenner cheaper than the yeti.

If i had any niggles, it would be i'd prefer the top to be thicker and more insulating, but its not bad at that.
Ebay for ease of buying -

Tefal travel mug in 360ml or 500ml sizes. Fits in bottle cage and keeps stuff hot for hours and goes in the dishwasher and reasonably cheap from Amazon / TKMax.

The earthwell if anything works too well. A coffee without milk (who ruins coffee with milk?) Is still too hot to drink comfortably after an hour +

I use a Stanley Adventure mug. Screw top, with two sections (one for sipping, one fully open), fits really nicely in a bottle cage and keeps a drink hot for a couple of hours. No clipping/flipping lids to break or leak. Not massive though, ~240ml from memory. I'd happily recommend it.

After reading this thread I purchased a yeti 12oz cup and lid. I have one complaint, its too good, my morning coffee is still boiling in the afternoon and I burnt my mouth yesterday because of it.

3rd the Forge, and it's still available on the CamelBack website so I assume it's not been discontinued.

The coffee-shop dropped mine and it cracked a floor tile. Just don’t drop it on your foot in the kitchen.
