So I appear to have injured my SC joint (the bit where collar bone connects to sternum) which has resulted in it being raised.

I'd love to say I did it sending a huge jump, but I actually did it (would you believe) in my sleep - must have rolled my shoulder funny and pop.....

So went to the Dr who's prescribed some anti inflammatory and ice pack, he thinks that once the swelling goes it should just go back in.

Anyone done the same and how did it work out with just meds and icing it?

Me being cynical isn't that convinced so was considering a trip to A&E, so tell me your experience before I potentially take up a space in A&E.

Also more annoyingly we're off to Scotland Saturday and was planning on riding Fort William 🙁

I dislocated mine about 10yr ago (OTB), doesn't give me any issues at all. I was told surgery only advisable if they are displaced rearwards. Surgery in the area is tricky as lots important bloodvessels and nerves in a small area. I think I used a figure 8 strap during work for a short while.

A friend has the same, his used to bother him with rucksack straps for a few years but is no longer a problem.

Did mine 10 years ago having my shoulders pushed together at the bottom of a ruck in a rugby game.

not really much bother although still visible, gets a bit stiff sometimes so have to use to creative yoga type positions to stretch out a bit.
