Has steephill deliberately reduced the number of links available to Giro broadcasts?

I have never had such difficulty finding a link that works. Often, I can get a Eurosport feed; failing that, a French or Dutch feed is an alternative.

Not this time, though.

There is only one French channel, and that is available only in France; the single Spanish-language channel is Columbian; there is no Dutch or Belgian alternative.

I am currently watching in Hebrew.

Any suggestions, shy of piling on subscriptions by paying for Eurosport?

What you want something for free??? You mean piracy? Just pay for eurosport if you want it easy 🙂

try UK99 as a code on the eurosport player - may have expired but that was offering a month for 99p

Eurosport is the real answer

Firstonetv is another option that is interesting. It appears to be genuine in that it's hosted in Europe and has big company advertisers but somehow shows channels from most European countries. Equipe is your best option.

I don't think so many channels show the giro. I can't find it on any Belgian channels

Thanks for the answers so far. I don't really mind paying for Eurosport - and probably will, if I don't have to sign onto a long-term contract.

The problem is the increasing number of things I find myself having to sign up for. Netflix and Amazon Prime, then Eurosport on top of that... Then who knows? I pay for Eurosport, then ITV4 ends up covering the TdF. (I don't actually know who is covering the TdF, nor did I know that I could get Eurosport for a single month.) But when it came to NHL cover, I tried paying for two different services - both of which were seriously deficient in what they offered - then I discovered that I could get far better, far more reliable access by going through Reddit.

I hate the fact that I feel forced into 'pirating', but I also hate feeling like I am getting gouged for sub-optimal service.

And in any case, it's good practice to watch in French/German/Dutch! 😉

Black Friday I got Eurosport for 99p for the year. As I am currently on sick leave after my ACL surgery this has literally been worth every penny! Doesn't solve it for now, but keep an eye out around the end of the year - they normally do some very good prices.

i did the £10 yearly thing last time but this last week they had a year for £29.99, that will take me round to all the spring classics and if there is another £10 deal i’l do that.

you can have the Giro for £7 a month, thats hardly a rip off.

Thanks for that,I've been (unsuccessfully) trying to find Giro highlights on the TV.

Don't forget Eurosport is HD now, ITV4 isn't

Also worth noting - not everyone lives in the UK or a country where a) Eurosport works, or b) there's an option for watching the Giro or other bike races via TV or online streaming (legally). I had this issue every year when living in various countries in Asia.

Although @SaxonRider admitted that's not his issue, it is (or has been) for a lot of us. Just keep in mind before breaking out the pitchforks next time the question is asked!

You don't have to sign up for anything, if you choose to want to watch content that's only available on a fee paying service then that's your decision - and pirating stuff is theft pure and simple.

I'm a Sky, Netflix and Amazon Prime sub myself, I don't think it's great value for money (especially Sky) but I want to watch content they provide so I pay the money. Only Sky locks you in for more than a month (assuming you're on Sky Q or a new subscriber anyhow)
