Was having a wee look at Haweswater earlier.
Still well below the ‘typical high range’. Was there last month and astonished how low it was. From the Nan Bield end car park it was a fair trek to even reach the water line. Loads of exposed dry stone walling which I’ve never seen before. The trend over the last 48 hours however has been pretty concerning, if anything it’s a good job there’s relatively empty basins like Haweswater to delay potential flooding downstream.
