In a cottage for half term this week in stavely but have to squeeze in some work as well - anyone know if any of the cafes have good WiFi please ? Could also use 4g hotspot on Vodafone if there is good signal ?

Thanks

Isn't there only one cafe in Staveley? Wilfs? If so, it should help narrow it down a bit 👍

Pretty sure Wilfs has wifi.

TBH I don't think the 4g signal is that bad around Windermere generally.

Can think of at least 3 cafes!

Wilfs
The bakery has a café area
There's the corner place on the right just as you drive into the Wheelbase/Wilfs yard.

I'd imagine the corner place has wifi. Not been to Wilfs in ages and not been in the bakery long enough for it to be worth bothering looking for wifi. Bacon & egg cobs and the pastries there are ace.

The other café down from Wilf's is the Artisan café. Seem to remember going on wifi whilst sat outside. http://www.moreartisan.co.uk/
Also brewery has it, fwiw.

I usually work in the brewery, more cafe next door has wifi. Brewery is good tho, sit by the window tapping away drinking beer.

Artisan Cafe has wifi.
Not sure about Wilfs, I presume it does but 4G is good round there (used to be a complete mobile deadspot there but they put a mast up a few years ago and it's full coverage now).

What sort of holiday cottage doesn't have WiFi these days? I assume you'll also be collecting water from the village pump and using an outside toilet.

There are a few places in Staveley with Wifi.
Mainly on the Mill yard. Wilf's, More bakery, Hawkshead brewery, Mr Duffins coffee shop,

Mr Duffins do fantastic coffee, and cake.

Wilf's is good for a fry up.

More bakery do great pies and pastrys if you've recently taken out a mortgage, or sold some internal organs.

Hawkshead brewery, obviously have beer, and also do nice meals

If you are really struggling, I could be persuaded to give you our office wifi password, but you may have to do a bit of graft for us in return 😉

Plus we don't have nice coffee or beer 🙁
