After watching a documentary on Status Quo a few nights ago, I had a sudden realisation of how many epic songs were done by Status Quo that were previously in my iTunes library as 'artist - unknown'. Having a distinct lack of wrinkles on my forehead I'm not incredibly familiar with the band and their song list, which is where I need a hand. They did a song with a very quiet, guitar intro/riff and I can't find the song even through hours of searching for it on YouTube. Anyone have any ideas what the song may be called? I need a bit of educating here.
Cheers

1 they all sound the same. Seen the live a few years ago at a local concert it made a good night.
Living On An Island ?
My mum suggests "margarita time"?
Ha, the 3 Chord Wonders! Get on Spotify and have a hack through the songs, famous Quo tracks are: Whatever you want, In the army now, Caroline, Rocking all over the world.
Gerdundula, Paper Plane?
Pictures of Matchstick Men was brilliant 8)
They do great intros then turn into the same identical plodding pop-rock.
Saw them years back as treat from my missus - they were fantastic live, great fun, obviously enjoying themselves and well aware of their image/limitations. As all the intros are the same it was a great night for trying to guess what the next track would be....
(I was less impressed to find that Def Leppard had played that venue the night before but she'd thought I'd prefer Quo. 🙄 )
'A Year' ?
Nearly everything before 'Rocking All over the World' = brilliant.
'Rocking All Over the World', and everything afterwards = rubbish.
It was as if they had got management consultants in. Can remember the disappointment as if it were yesterday.
Mystery Song high point for me. Only single I've actually got is Gerdundula, also magnificent.

Dirty water? Dirty dirt water??
They did a song with a very quiet, guitar intro/riff
Unspoken Words? My favourite track off the Piledriver album and very un-Quo.
Edit: Oh sh*t - not listened to those lyrics for a good 40 years when I lost my Nan. Losing someone special always hurts 😥
