I have been trying to work out how to best store bikes and organise a single garage.  I had never heard of the stashed rack before my dad saw it on dragons den.  I wasn’t convinced, but if you can get 8 bikes in a 2.5 m space, that is a winner, especially if they are easily accessible.  It isn’t cheap, not far off new bike territory, do your bikes get knocked or scratched in use?

I guess he needs the dragons, as I had never heard of the brand before, but it looks good!

I've got a single length (so 4 bikes) of it. It's well made and does as advertised. I'm not sure if I could have got similar storage cheaper my a more DIY approach but I like it and it's much easier to load/unload than the cheap planet-x hooks it replaced.

Look on Downtime podcast for 10% off too 🙂

I made my own equivalent using gate roller from Rollingcentre,  2.4 meter rail with 9 bikes ( 2 full fat ebikes)

We have a 2 section one side of our garage, as we have a lot of bikes & they were just consuming a lot of space.

There was a decent discount. While ago, which is when we got ours, super easy to put up & does what you expect.

I’m sure I could have done something cheaper cobbling together a load of bits, but I just wanted to buy something, put it together & know it works, for the sake of a couple of hundred quid.

They are a fair bit more expensive now but I would buy it again.

I've a 3 length setup ready to install once the builders have done with the garage roof. Very impressed with the quality of it, was eyeing up a cheapo self-build job for a fraction of the price, but I think its (just) worth the money.

I've got 8 bikes on one. Well actually 7 + a trailer right now. Yes you can squeeze 8 bikes down to not much space. There are bumpers on the trolleys so if you push from the top you tend to squeeze the trolleys together rather than the bikes. But you still need to be careful with pedals, especially MTB flats.

I did have a home made gate hardware type thing, the stashed is definitely better.

It's up to you if it's worth the money or not but consider ours is a small fraction of the cost of the bikes, and our bikes aren't even that flashy.

I've got a 4 bike effort and am pretty happy with it.

As per the thread linked above, I got a 3m strut for £30 which I've cut into two sections - the rail was effecively useless where it went over the top of the hot water tank so I cut off that bit and now have an 80cm segment with 2 bikes hanging off it, and another 6 bikes on the remaining 2m20. I have hooks from rak.bikes - 6 small hooks at 10.99 and 4 large hooks at £15.99. If I did it again, I'd get more large hooks and fewer small hooks. I originally just got 2 large hooks for my tandems, but had to buy two more as it's a pain trying to get MTB tyres into the smaller hooks

Still, even if I'd got 10 large hooks, that would be under £200 for 10 hooks and a 3m rail. A 10 hook system from stashed costs slightly more, though it does have advantages like being able to rotate the hooks
