Hi,
Trying to organise a stag-do for next year.
In the UK
2 nights away - Friday night, go for meal, go to pub, general chilled out night (people arriving at different times from different parts of the country).
Day after, some sort of activity, really like the idea of a combined rafting / canyoning sort of thing. Stag is quite outdoorsy so will appeal to him.
Saturday Night - lap dancing and jaeger bombs
Anyone does the rafting/canyoning - bear in mind we also want to be close enough to a big towm/city for the nightime

We did Glasgow (the groom was originally from there and did a white water rafting about 40 mins away - they picked us up in a minivan from the town centre (or we might have organised that outselves, it's a little, erm, hazy that detail).
It was a great trip. Hardly any 'white' in the white water but it just meant we had fun splashing each other and tipping boats over - no-one survived without a trip into the water from either boat.

Pretty sure there's a whitewater place nr Nottingham & I've been told it's a good night out there...
Nottingham canoe slalom course is pants for rafting,may end up with the dreaded Trent belly too!

Did exactly this on a stag do in Llangollen, was good (wet, cold) fun
I organised something similar, doing a night on Anglesey. We sea fished on a boat called bad Boyz (yes, with a zed). But there is a company that does sea kayaking and canyoning from Trearrdur Bay. The day after we did white water rafting at Bala, staying at The Hand Hotel in Llangollen.
The drive from Angelsey to Bala was a bit of a pain, and there weren't any nightclubs in Llangollen, but the Hand had a very late bar and flashing lights disco - great for a bit of cheesy dancing with the locals.
All but the non-swimmer said they had a great time.
Went whitewater rafting at Nottingham for a hen weekend. Wasn't expecting it to be that good compared to the real thing but really enjoyed it.
In and around Hereford is good as there are a number of outdoor adventure companies there. Town is good for pubs and hotels, not sure about lap dancing. Ross on Wye is also good for canoeing down the river wye

Did this on a stag, was excellent. Curry and surprisingly good night out in Aviemore after. Lapdancing would be more a case of getting someone from scottish strippers or the like to come and gyrate at you in your chalet.
Tees valley white water centre's had good reviews, not far from the NY Moors....Middlesbrough's good for a "liveley" night out 😯

Did canyoning in Wales on a stag do Sunday after the Saturday night out!! Personally I thought it was dull and all a bit pointless, it was the same weekend a few years back when the bad floods hit Tewksbury so there was plenty of flow 😯
Much rather do the kayaking/rafting personally as you have some degree of skill required and an ability to control what's going on!
Full On Adventure in Aviemore. John will probably lap-dance for you too, especially if he's had a few Jaegerbombs...

Cardiff ticks most of the boxes - range of accomodation - cheap B&B to 5 star hotels, plenty of clubs and bars and the white water rafting centre in Cardiff Bay

I went up to the Lake District for something very similar for my own stag do.
We used http://www.adventure21.co.uk/ who did a great job.
However you'll have to accept the nights out will be more of the decent meal/pub/real ale variety than anything more raucous.

It's not that I'm specifically looking for 'titty bars' but I wouldn't say no. Yes great activities, but with the nightime involving more than sipping on a pint of real ale in a country pub.
Don't get me wrong, I'm all for those trips, love heading off on bike trips to Scotland/Wales with friends and doing exactly that - but this is a stag-do after all.
I'm still needing to check out Cardiff but the coasteering round Northumberland looks great fun and won't go wrong in Newcastle for a night out.
Yoshimi couple of choices are the tees barage then newcastle which is worth while trying. Tees barage white water rafting is good fun especially if there are few of you enough to fill two boats, based in newcastle for the night out well just google it and see. Coastaleering with AdventureNorthumberland is good too, Loneomen on here runs the coastaleering give him a shout, he also does guided mtb stuff near rothbury. Hope this helps
We organised a very similar stag weekend in Llangollen in May. Sorted out all the transport, activities and catering for the guys. They loved it!

another vote for Aviemore - full on adventure for canyoning and an afternoon of uplift at Laggan - was thoroughly enjoyed by all. The night life was viewed with aprehension by the group as coming from London they weren't expecting much, but we had a cracking couple of nights.

At the other end of the country, the white water at llangollen looked interesting. Also you can take a trip over the pontcysyllte aqueduct - or even better do a self-drive day hire. i took a narrowboat over it last weekend, excellent, a 3mph white knuckle ride.
