I heard a scuffle in the garden and looked out in time to see two young squirrels running around the lawn frantically and then one leapt up and ripped the baby robin from its perch before disappearing over the fence when I opened the door.
The broken pot in the background is also squirrel damage
More offended by the state of that lawn.

Is the trap not doing its job?
I took the trap down a few months back after reducing the numbers to a more sensible level and the neighbour stopped feeding them so the problem was largely removed.
Might get some peanut butter as bait and put it back up though as these latest ones seem particularly brazen and do more damage than before. I guess it is because we are not in the garden so much in the cold weather.
