What you hoping to see ?

Mate of mine caught her ex cheating on her with one.

That is he knew it was there he fitted it…….

He turned it off brought his lady friend home while my mate was traveling in europe( fly in fly out relationship due to work)

Him turning it off set an alert to her phone
She checked the ring doorbell and saw this girl being brought home.

Classy move.

External security cameras I get but why would you want a camera and specifically a spy cam in your house…. Security issues aside.

Get an outdoor camera if you're monitoring outside as the inside one will use infrared at night and reflect off the glass and you won't see anything! I use Ring as don't care what Amazon spys on..

We have half a dozen Neo cameras around the house and they're great when we're away. I get an alert when our cat sitter turns up to feed the moggies etc. Did once get a fright though, got an alert, had a quick look at the live feed and saw some random 6' bloke coming in the back door! Turns out the cat sitter had brought her dad over for some reason. Did think we were being burgled for a few seconds...

Eufy are decent. No subscription either. Local storage.

I keep an eye on the dog in the kitchen when I'm out.

I have a set of Blink cameras.
One at the front door for deliveries if MrsSc is working in the shoffice (and can't hear the doorbell), one at the side to cover the back of the house and one in the shed to cover the shed.

Main use is to check when the boys come and go from the house, and whether they've walked the dog as promised.

Local storage, and no subscription. There's a recent thread if you search.

Just fitted some blink cams and the doorbell. A doddle to set up and no wires or online sub required. Tempted to get the interior ones for when we are out and inside the garage. I like how easy it is to disable the cams so they're only one if we are out (bar the doorbell).

Permanent internal cameras are a bit of a step too far IMO, personally I’d feel very weird if I visited a mate’s house and it was bristling with CCTV inside! That said, I do use them on a temporary basis whilst on holiday so we can see our cats! Was actually really handy last time as they’d somehow managed to push a door shut & trap themselves in our bedroom, so was able to get someone to let them out before they 💩 everywhere 😂

I like the Tapo C110 cameras but they’re all much of a muchness around the £20-30 mark (just check there isn’t a mandatory subscription for certain features!)

For security, external cameras are way better (as said, they won’t work properly looking out through glass)
