BBC 2 at 8.00pm

The usual presenters Chris, Michaela, Iolo and Megan (doesn't mention Gillian).

The usual feel good content - baby robins etc.

Enjoy.

Hurrah!

As a side note - on this morning's dog walk there was loads of fledgling birds about. Looking very lost, bewildered, making lots of noise and generally looked like they were thinking "shiiiiiiiiitttttt!" 🙂

Erm isnt June summer

Meteorologically yes, astronomically no. And according to wildlife the timing of spring depends on what the weather's been doing.

I read that Michaela Strachan lives in South Africa and flies in for a few weeks to do the show. Given how preachy the show can be about climate change, can't they do the right thing and get a different presenter?

I reckon it shows extraordinary commitment to the whole spirit of Spring Watch that Michaela Strachan should make her own personal migratory flight to the UK every Spring.

The short film of the blue bottle metamorphosis was amazing.

Farming background - May was always the month that Spring became Summer.  I have always found the title Springwatch to be rather amusing.

As for Flaming June!

They will say it’s late because of climate change ignoring the impact of presenters flying thousands of miles

I like Packham and I really like the way he has riled the big bullies who like to needlessly kill raptors.

I like the way he winds up climate change deniers.
