I need to paint the inside of my garage as its all breezeblock and i want to brighten it up.

I am thinking of buying one of these black & decker sprayers or something similar

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Black-Decker-HVLP-Paint-Sprayer/dp/B006XBT358

Does anybody have any experience of using one?

I m not expecting a great finish - i just need coverage.
Any thoughts welcome

I've used a similar spray gun to paint a kitchen table and chairs with emulsion, I had to water it down to get it sprayable but after a couple of coats the coverage was good, a garage wall should be no problem.

From experience the breeze blocks soak up so much paint that I was slapping it on as thick as I could.
The problem with spraying is you would have to water the paint down and it wouldn't give very good coverage. There are also the health implications of spraying emulsion

masonry paint and a hairy roller (vicar). Wear old clothes.

Roller for sure, even put it on a stick if you want.

Thanks for the replies chaps - looks like a roller may be the best way to go then.

If you're near Berks you can have mine.... You don't actually even need to bring it back

I bought it, it worked fairly well if a bit messily...

Roller. A spray gun is great for big jobs* where it is worthwhile protecting nearby items from overspray but a bit of a faff for small jobs.

*like a ship.
