Hi sprained my wrist on Friday at the bike park. Have done 72 hours of strapping and ice every four hours with painkillers , removing strapping at night.

Should I carry on with that or start moving it more or ....? I have an enduro this weekend so keen to get it sorted!

Ta!

I reckon he'd say go to A&E.

How do you know you have sprained it and not broken it?

I'll fess up, I was only posting Drac-bait. We know how he loves A&E getting clogged up 🙂

More seriously, I think Drac is a paramedic*, not an Occupational Therapist.

*I think he may be a bit more 'management'ish now, in a Hale & Pace way.

Mother F.... 😀

MIU for a follow up if you're not happy.

Still a Paramedic but yes I'm management.

That's all you'll get as I can give accurate advice without examination.

That made me chuckle - just what the NHS need, Hale and Pace style "Management"!

No offence Drac, just in case you want to "rip my head off and have a look at the wiring inside....." 😳

I did mine in Jan. Still can't hold for example a cricket bat by handle out lengthways parallel with the ground.

Good luck

6 months and you can't hold a cricket bat? ! Jees... you must have torn ligaments or something? My google powers indicate there are different grades of sprain , mine sounds like the lightest one so hopefull should be ok

A&E didn't think it was broken but it was too swollen to tell 100%.

A spot of skiers thumb chucked in there for good measure too
