You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
The spot 3 certainly appears superior but running costs are 50% more.
If I was to buy a second hand Spot 2 tracker can I still get a Spot 2 subscription ? I can see no info on the spot website.
Running costs more?
You don't have to subscribe to all the features the device supports...
running costs more/how much on what molgrips ?
can't see what the costs of a Spot 2 are anywhere
I was querying your original question, I didn't know what you meant. However I now see you are talking about second hand spot 2. Probably have to ask them about that.
I pay 11 € a month I think for my 3
cheers molgrips.
Do you use that as your everyday GPS logger as well as it's more intended (where the hell is my partner now) purposes ?
MBMM - it only tracks at 10 min intervals so any GPX track generated has lots of straight lines. It's not a replacement for the likes of a Garmin or SmartPhone app.
What scotroutes said. It'd be no good for replacing a normal GPS, plus the reception is pretty rubbish.
If you pay more you can get the interval down to as little as 1 minute but that's still not much good.
thx.
Ponderring whether to get one more as a 'where the hell is my partner now' tool so to save the phone for the phones intended use.
Got plans to do the Rovaniemi 150 next year so it will get some real use.
I suddenly realised I needed some form of emergency backup in Sweden earlier this year, out in the woods. Then when I started thinking about it I realised I also need one in the UK, since I do most of my riding alone. Even in my local woods I often have no signal and I can't rely in being found by someone.
