Holy schizzle! That's gotta be a DQ and a ban, Shirley?

Agree with Cal Crutchlow, lifetime ban. He was sacked by the VR academy for his irresponsible behaviour. Kicked out at Niki Ajo, then turned his bike off in 2015. He´s gonna hurt someone at some stage.

Seen this earlier. Gotta be a lifetime ban. Unbelievable behaviour. Incredibly dangerous thing to do

Not sure I've seen anything quite as daft as that in all my years of Moto GP viewing, shocking!

He got a 2 race ban. That seems waaaay too lenient. You'd not want to be trusting someone with your life to race sensibly who was capable of pulling a stunt like that.

Isn't the corrected course of action to ban this lune from the rest of the season and send him back to the lower motorbike tqiers from nextq year? Shocking tactics at MotoGP2 level!

I understand he's lost his ride for next year, being as he'd signed for the team whose brake he so lovingly squeezed on the way past.

I wonder how fast they were going... dangerous and unsportsmanlike, but still cool as. 😉

171km/h at that moment.

He's been sacked from both this years team and kicked out of next years team too.

Cool that he had that level of composure and skill, hell yes....  But he still needs a shoeing with a pair of Bombers for actually doing it.

That car one that hols2 has posted - are they actually on the same team? Just querying based on completely different liveries on the two cars, and non-sequential (or even close) car numbers...

Yes, teammates. Australian factory BMW team with different sponsors for the two cars. Those two really checked every box: Crash into your teammate; Crash while leading the race 1-2 on the final lap; Lose your shit and have a fistfight in front of your corporate guests.

Devi’s advocate slightly

The speed difference wasn’t that high so not that dangerous, plus he didn’t pull the lever that hard as that would have resulted in a crash which he could have been involved in

The fact his current team have sacked him and next years team have sacked him too, would show that they don't necessarily agree with your opinion.

Yup, I have not seen the footage of the earlier overtake/clash, but it has been reported;

Fenati's actions followed Manzi's attempted overtake a few laps earlier. The pair had made contact as Manzi overtook on the inside, with both riders running off the track, losing several positions and dropping out of the points.

Fenati appeared to be reacting to an earlier incident between the pair, which saw Manzi run the Italian off the track as he overtook him. Mazni received a penalty of his own for the initial clash, and he will be hit with a six-place grid penalty at Aragon next time out for "irresponsible riding".

Manzi had attempted to overtake his compatriot but made contact with Fenati’s bike and both ran off the track and lost several positions in the leaderboard

So if I'm riding at 31 mph and you're doing 31.001 mph it'll be alright if I shove a stick in your spokes?

Speed difference don't matter, and who knows if not squeezing the lever so hard was luck or judgement. Crashes have happened and people have died through accidental application of a front brake.

Didn't a rider go over the bars when another rider accidently hit his brake with his bars, moto GP or wsb race, can't remember the rider?

Trackday, Canepa.

that wasn't accidental though. I think the one you're thinking of is Melandri.

Yeah it's understandable to be a bit more assertive with your line when passing after an incident like that, but dodgy passes are part of racing, if you can't take it, then don't race.

I'll be back on the velodrome in a couple of weeks, and I've noticed a correlation between guys that go around "having words" after an incident and the ones that cause them in the first place...
