My GP's referral is taking a while to come through to sort out my dodgy knee.

Any recommendations or places to avoid?

Thanks in advance

If it is cycling related Park Bike Works should have a physio who specialises in cycling injuries.

Dan, I see a chap in keywoth called Seth O'Neill who's sorted knee and ankle issues for me. He specializes in lower limb I think? Done a lot of research on the subject. Keyworth physio. Both me and the wife have used him.

I hear Bubbles do a good massage. At the very least it will take your mind off the injury! 😉

Is this where local sports physios all get together and compete to see who can fix a patient the fastest?

I work in elite sport and we use Derry a lot. Can Defo recommend him http://www.derrysuter.com/#!maintenance/c66t

I have been using Simon Robinson on Nottingham Road for 23 years now. Always kept me on the bike. So good I moved next door.

+1 for the people upstairs at Park Bikeworks
We where there for some lunch the other week and my wife who has done something to her back that isn't easing, and is getting nowhere with doctors went to see them for a free initial consultation just whilst we where waiting for our food
He spent a good half hour and suggested some exercises for her to try that have really helped tide her over until her NHS physio appointments came though
All for free
No idea what follow up appointments would have been like compared to others but for initial service it was very impressive and obviously specialises in cycle related issues

In fact while I'm singing praises, Park Bikeworks in general, food is excellent, great friendly atmosphere and the service in cafe, shop and service area is excellent

I have heard someone else recommend Simon on Nottingham Road before as well

Another happy customer of Michael Bexson at Derby Osteopathy, but my issues are more back related. Quite a few Derby Mercury riders go there.

The practice was originally started by Joy Potts of Audax fame (and former ladies national cycling coach iirc)
