Just received an email seeking sponsorship for sporting equipment along the lines of we need a sponsor to buy some equipment etc etc for our club

A few emails later ,bearing in mind it's a relatively small amount of money 5oo quid but then goes on to say, sorry we cant put your company name on any of the equipment and we also have another sponsors name on our kit

Now call me stupid but what do we get out of it?

They misspoke, they don't want sponsorship they want a gift.

Maybe they will publicise you elsewhere? Social Media, club literature, banners at the events and so on?

It was like a great idea till they said we have a primary sponsor .

I thought to my self its not sponsorship its a donation.

Thanks curious yellow I had kind of hoped this the case but would our 500 quid be better spent on someone who doesn't already have a primary sponsor.

Don't know what kind of sporting equipment is involved, but if it was balls, I have a couple here you can have your company name on for £500 🙂
