Annoying non finish to the series. Hate when they do that, at least wrap something up.

Not seen this weeks episodes yet.

It looked like it was setting it up to be the last series. Gilou settling down with Laure to be a dad, Roban resigning due to health and disgust with himself shall have to see what happens once we get home.

Hugely disappointed. Now rewatching the first five seasons (saisons?) to compensate.

Yeah - I'm sure I read that it was to be the last series and the ending, which I thought was great, made sense in that context.

Blimey, was watching this last night in trepidation, thinking the chopped up copper case wasn't going to be resolved... it was! Decent ending I thought - definitely another series on the way type cliff hanger, but not one that had me annoyed! So many brilliant threads to the series, superb stuff.

‘Gilou settling down with Laure to be a dad,’

their snogging scenes really make me laugh. Like two angry people trying to eat the same corn on the cob.

For a metamorphised state between The Thing and a human he can't half pull the birds 😆

Where can I see the earlier "saisons*"? I've seen 5 and 6.

* if only there was a French word for series.

...and what about a spin-off series: ginger goddess in the clink?

(though they're all looking a bit rough around the edges now. You can only push "weary gallic" so far before hitting "knackered". I say this as a person who last saw knackered a long time ago.)

We thought the series was damn fine, we/I really enjoyed it and looked forward to an hour of decent TV.

Though the ending poignant, sadly a metaphor when running over the hill.. but I’d like to think she has a bout of conscience and the hill is a shortcut to the car park where Gilou is waiting.. then he’ll guide her back into the ward to collect her baby.

Glad the copper shot himself TBH, nasty piece of work. The other copper will suffer in jail now though.. or be celebrated (don’t know how the French view cops who turn bad)

And the Mayor coming to assist/offer her number to their old boss! Nice, he certainly helped her out and I reckon they’d make a nice couple.

Tintin, sad little ending. Hopefully they’ll make it up when he’s had time to reflect, possibly not and he’s sticking to his morals (very honourable IMO)

The Camera Boys, nasty pieces of work but ultimately they almost wanted to do good perhaps. Then again once corruption sets in the block of flats would only end up a drug/fence den surely.

And then the Moldovan, nasty nasty setup he had. Odd to think that he wasn’t caught sooner IMO.. the trace of prostitution leads were there from the start and captured on cameras to ID the Belgian et all.

On the whole I think it’s the best of those “gritty Euro” dramas out there.

I'd watch that!

(Have you googled her? She was in a very arty magazine 😉 )

"arty"

That's not the word that springs to mind 🙂

The good news is that filming for the next series started last month so not such a long wait.

Meanwhile in the Saturday night slot Modus returns, the first series was quite good.  There's also two new German series on Walter Presents where all episodes can be seen.  Watched the first part of one and, my goodness, it was a bit, er, German.  Won't bother again.

New Italian one (Maltese?) started on C4 the other day. Not watched it all yet, but looked promising.

Presumably the next series will air in the Autumn?  I also can't wait, i thought the last two were amongst the best TV I've ever watched. Absolutely convincing acting, unlike that ghastly forensic drama that's running at the moment where all the actors are over-acting like they are in Midsomer Murders.

I lived and worked in France for 3 years and the slang used by the Spiral cops is absolutely spot on, really instinctive.
