back in July I had a weird episode in my left arm, got checked for a Tia and there were no signs that is what had happened. They referred me to a follow-up mri of my spine. Whilst I was waiting for that test my neck completely seized up, and I had horrific pins and needles in my arm for about 2 months
finally got the results of my spinal mri back and I have significant evidence of spinal degeneration, much more than would be expected at my age (47)
I’ve had neck issues for years, currently it’s ok ish and there is no pins and needles etc. awaiting referral to neurologist, but anyone ever been diagnosed with some similar?

similar-ish - I was diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondylitis in 2021 which can cause the spine to become damaged and the vertebrae to fuse, if you're unlucky.
It also comes with various other symptoms, most notably for me, arthritis and assorted stiffness and pains. I was at one point being scanned for possible kidney type issues, as I was getting a lot of pain around there, but it turned out to be inflammation and muscle spasm related.
I am, for now, keeping a lid on it with daily yoga and prescription anti-inflammatories.
