Just received a letter from the Police saying I had been caught speeding.... before STW shout 'burn him'....it wasn't me.
First off, Name is spelt incorrectly, registration details are wrong and I wasn't even in the area at that time. I was camping in a cave down in Dorset (I have photographic evidence)
So has someone just got hold of my address and name (albeit wrong) and put me down on their V5?
So it's a letter to your address but not your name and it didn't reference your car?
Have you ever owned or driven the car that's in the letter?
I had 3 NIPs from Manchester police for three different cars, none mine. Strangely these happened in the three months after I had been up there on work. Not sure if that was coincidence though. Send them an email explaining and it should all go away
Never driven or owned the car stated. The reg is an odd one, make of car is the same but model is different.
Name if spelt Jeff, even though I am a Geoff.
It is a road I am familiar with, the A361 near South Molton.
Possible that your car plate has been cloned, fairly common for use with the London congestion zone charges. As above, contact them and explain.
It isn't even close to my Reg though. So a completely different reg, but all registered in my name. I have not received anything through the post before, but through checking Tax and MOT site, it is all taxed and Mot'd start of September.
