Just been asked to do a week-long speaking tour in Canada next autumn. It's the first time I will have been to the country of my birth since, well, I left many years ago. On top of that, I have been asked to do a speaking tour. First one. Did I mention the speaking tour?

Feeling chuffed. 8)

Forgive me. Just thought I'd brag a bit.

Just some stuff related to my field what I wrote.

Not trying to be silly; just don't want to mix too much business with pleasure on here. Unless it's because I get asked to do some cool stuff, in which case I'll be all mouth.

Just Southern Ontario unfortunately. Toronto and London.

But still good.

Ricky, Julian and Bubbles must be chuffed with Trudeau's manifesto promises. Canada has seriously gone up in my expectations.

I spent winter and a bit in BC a few (eurrrgh.. lots of) years ago. I remember writing a postcard to someone quite early on, trying to shoe-horn as many eh?s into it as I could.

Fast forward 8 months, writing to my Gran, spending ten or fifteen mintutes trying to work out how to convey (convEH?) what I wanted, how I wanted, without using "eh".

Language, eh?
