Spending a lot of time in Southampton at the moment.

I have spotted an Overwhelming amount of restaurants - any recommendations? I love curry, kebabs and Chinese but have spotted a vast array that all look yummy

Thanks

Sanjas in Shirley for curry (though we normally have takeaway).

Lakaz Maman in Bedford place. BYO alc but nice food.

Yuri cottage for sushi. Looks like a dump but food so good!

Another vote for Lakaz Maman. Tim's Bistro a few doors down has also regularly served up good food.

Pie Caramba isn't bad either in the same area.

I'm assuming you are central and not on the fringes by the way.

Curry you could try Namaste Kerala (vegetarian options supposed to be good) or Coriander Lounge

Shanghai 1814 is good for Chinese food and their is both a Chinese menu (which I was introduced to by a former colleague) or an English Chinese menu with the more familiar dishes.

I'm a little out of date with work from home but these were all good pre /between lockdowns depending on when I last went.

A bit out of town to the North Chilworth Arms for posh pub food and to the East there'll be plenty of good pub food around the Hamble peninsula/Warsash too.

Bring your own BBQ to Southampton Bike Park. There is a seating area ready for you. Bring bikes too and let me know when you are next down here

IMHO,
Corriander Lounge is the best Indian in the city centre.

Picolo Mondo, for a small authentic family run Italian.

Thanks again for the suggestion.

Having spent a few months here can I recommend the Gurkha lounge, I consider myself a curry specialist and this is a great restaurant
