I have a few days off next week. Booked into the travel lodge at Bridgend and Llanelli already.

Got an uplift booked at bpw on the Thursday, tbh it's all beyond me and my marathon oriented bike but hey ho.

Looking for options, opinions and recommendations for the other few days.

Going to do a half day at Cwm carn en route Wednesday. Bpw Thurs then Brechfa possibly. A quick Google suggests Preseli hills or coast road out past the Gower.

Rode the Gap last year and enjoyed that . But I'm not as fit a I was due to more work , more watersport and less riding.

Afan is a possibility as I used to love w2 , and blade is ok .

So any 2 or 3 hour / 20 miles loops or areas that you would recommend would be gratefully received.

Mynydd Preseli is quite a way from Llanelli fwiw.

Afan and Glyncorrwg are both easy to access via the M4. Close to Llanelli there's Pembre, home to Battle on the Beach. There's loads of riding in the forest and *.gpx files must abound.

DH orientated woodland at Troserch is a blast, well worth a visit. About 15 mins from Llanelli, about 10 mins from the motorway.

The coastal cycle path is dead flat and stunningly beautiful. It has an extension up to Tumble and Cross Hands which is wonderful and beautiful and gorgeous.

Brechfa always works, whatever the weather.

I'm usually available in Wednesdays and Fridays if you're after a bit of local knowledge.
