Following on from my thread a few months ago I am now looking for campsite recommendations. Ideally one that allows fires.
We have tried comrie croft but it is booked.
Pickings look slim for some reason unless it's big caravan sites.
No idea if these places take tents and allow fires but there is the woods at Alva and witches Craig at blairlogie which are handy for a spin up Dumyat
You might struggle finding anywhere that will allow fires at the moment.
There are a few breweries in that area...
Fires not essential but just don't really want a massive caravan park with perfect lawns and neatly lined up white boxes.

Is a site completely necessary ie. are you up for wild camping? That opens your options up somewhat. As said depending on how the weather holds up open fires may not be the best idea but there are always ways and means to mitigate against spread of fire provided you are prepared to put the effort in and return it to the state you found it when you move on. Either that or have something to keep the fire in.

There is another site outside Comrie now I think of it:

http://wildgatherings.co.uk/eco-camp-site/

Yep a site is needed. 3 nights a 2 year old and a 14 year old (who has never camped) hence the softer approach! If it was just my self and others half it would be different.

That site I linked might be worth a try. If you can see it amongst the code crap.

I can't find the camping on the website. Only event. I will try ringing thanks.
Witches Craig sound like an ideal suggestion...campsite is at back
