Do you think they were a bit daft to do the Mohammed thing? I don't mind a bit of a dig in the name of comedy, but surely they should have known what would happen.

I'm sure they did know what would happen and that's why they did it. It's ridiculous censoring it imo.

@OP

Not at all. They obviously feel that hypocrisy is a worse crime to be guilty of than upsetting a few idiots who, ironically, operate in NY under the auspices of free speech laws that they have declared a war on.

I dont know, but they were a couple of monumentally funny episodes. I think the whole idea was to point out the ridiculousness of the fact that we are giving in to this simply because we are threatened with violence.

They are allowed to show Budda snorting coke, they are allowed to show Jesus looking at internet porn, they can show celebrities defecating on an American flag, but they get censored by the networks when they try to show Mohammed.

I also loved the Cartman's real dad bit...

Incidentally, and its childish i know, but my favourite bit was:

Seaman: "Swallow, come!"
Moses: "Did he just say that?"

Me: ROFLCOPTER!

I was awaiting part 2 of the 200th episode last night, but they showed an old one instead. Was it pulled because of the furore?

Probably. There would have been death threats going here, there, and bloody everywhere I expect.

That episode was priceless. I love how they put 2 fingers up and show how ridiculous the world is.
