I have a Samsung HW-J450 soundbar and the P5 sub. We have huge problems with audio synching when watching films. For example, all can be fine but if we pause it, when we hit play, the audio is way off and I have to start messing around with +/-xxx ms on the remote. Occasionally, it is impossible to correct and I have to cycle power. Is this normal?
We had that recently (LG soundbar with optical input). I experimented with the sound output settings on the TV and when I changed to 'Passthrough' (IIRC) it solved the issue.
I've got a LG TV that is connected to my hifi amp via a DAC. When watching when I have the sound running through the amp I use the Passthrough setting.
I had problems with our Phillips soundbar/Sony telly with audio syncing when I first set it up and connected via an optical cable. I ended up connecting via HDMI and all was well.
