My lawn is full of clover and other weeds, and this year one of my projects is to sort it, what chemicals and when?
In the spring when stuff is growing. Any feed and weed mix will do, depends whether you can be bothered mixing it or just use granules (need to spread them evenly or your lawn will blotchy). If you have moss maksure it contains a moss killer. After application use a scarifier to remove the dead moss and thatch.
What size is your lawn? For us, it's cheaper to have Lawn Master (or Green Thumb, in fact) come and dose it 4 times a year than it is for me to do it myself. I'd say its worth checking out anyway - our lawn looks great because of them.
Same boat except all 3 sections of grass appears to be dead...very VERY yellow while all the neighbours lawns are still looking green.
Need to sort it this year...will speak to a couple of mates who do landscaping to see what they suggest...I am tempted to just through it all away and get some decent topsoil in as the stuff we have is terrible...will cost a pretty penny though...
If you have moss, you need to scarify the lawn to remove it. The feed, weed and moss killer stuff works great, but new grass won't grow through dead moss, so you need to remove it all. Then over seed.
