Its our anniversary soon and I'd (we) would like to go somewhere in the country.
As I love a bit of cheese I'd like somewhere that we could go cheese tasting and if there was beer tasting nearby even better.
Accommodation would benefit from a thatched roof and dead animals on the wall.
Northumberland coast.

Job done.
Do you need a poem?
Dales? Wide range of places to stay near Hawes (home of Wensleydale Creamery - don't eat beforehand 😀 )
Had a very nice foodie weekend in Pembrokeshire at The Grove - food was excellent, local cheeses too, fabulous coastal walking link
Door to door it was a 5hr drive from near London, sad reality is you can get to France by plane quicker than that and if it's cheese tasting your after it doesn't get any better.
I've never been to Northumberland but bits always looked good. Definite maybe.
