A bit lost here - son wants a new graphics card for our desktop PC to play Rust. It's a quad core Q8300 2.5GHz with 8GB of RAM and a recent clean install of Windows 7. In the Windows Performance index everything is 6 or 7 apart from the graphics performance, which is 3.7
Spending up to 150 pounds or so. How is this one? Any suggestions?

No idea, but fancy gfx cards are power hungry. Check your PSU is man enough for whatever you get or your son will be left very disappointed.
That's a decent card, on the nvidia side there is this
Bit cheaper and low power consumption incase his psu small. Nvidia tend to get updates faster as well
That last card looks great as it will be fine with the 350W PSU we've got, and it doesn't need an extra power lead.
Thanks for the help
I imagine it will still need a 6 pin
I bought the GTX 750 Ti on endurogangster's recommendation, and it's a revelation! What was unplayable is now playing in HD incredibly smoothly. It also didn't need an extra 6 pin cable from the power supply.
Thanks STW for the recommendation.
