So need a new car as work leasing company messing me about with me wanting to buy my current car off them.

Looking for a large estate, would be nice it it was fairly brisk and handled well.

Nothing over 4 years and nothing over 50k miles.

My current car is a Hyundai i40 estate, so nothing smaller.

Can get a nice Leon FR estate for that kinda cash, loads of kit, great engines and handles pretty nicely

Mk5 mondeo is what I'd be looking at. I'm sure you'd get a lot of kit for your money, they drive great and the room inside for people and luggage is enormous. They'll be relatively cheap to maintain compared to the premium brands. Probably not what the cool kids would suggest but I actually think they look pretty good these days too.

Brand new Dacia and £6k - £2.5k in the bank, depending on the spec.

Skoda Octavia or Superb, depending on how big you want it. 'Handles well' is fairly subjective, I wouldn't want to do a track day in my Octavia estate but it's fine driving about normally, usual drawbacks of a front-wheel drive car but on the whole the handling is pretty good.

Skoda Superb 4x4, as that is what I have.

I had a Mazda 6 and liked it, it felt sportier than the Skoda, but the Skoda is vast (fits my fat bike in with the wheels on).

I bought a 1 year old top of the range Insignia from a dealer for about £15k with less than 10k miles on it. Dab radio, Sat nav, leather electric seats etc. I do about 15k to 20k miles per year on it with no issues so far. Very comfy but not very exciting.

Yeah, I'd agree with Mondeo - interior size is great and the ride is so smooth. My Passat handles a bit better but I'd trade that for the comfort of the Mondeo.

Thanks all.

Leon whilst nice is too small - had one on test drive but the boot isn't big enough.

Mondeo - my last car was a Mondeo and it spent quite a bit of time at the dealership having problems sorted.

Superb looks good, as does the Passat and Mazda 6.

Will see what's around .
