I'm starting to look for a new bedroom TV, doesn't have to be the best in the world, but want it still to look good, have freeview HD, and work with an Xbox.

I'd like it to be greater than 26" but preferably less than 32" but there dont appear to be any about! Probably going to be wall mounted.

I've read on here about LED's not necessarily being any better than LCD's, and I assume LCD's are now LED's ?

What would you recommend.

Ta

So you want a 27,28,29,30, or 31" TV?????

Just get a 32" and be done with it.

Got one like this
http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/logik-l26dvdb21-26-inch-full-hd-tv-with-built-in-dvd-11418734-pdt.html

Has been fine for bedroom. Not tried freeview on it, as Virgin is connected, and not tried DVD or the USB record feature either.

If its going on the wall, a 32" won't look much bigger than a 26" would if it was on a stand, if that makes sense.
They're all Freeview compatible and all except the very cheapest will have inputs for your Xbox. Just check that the Freeview is HD.
LED and LCD names are misleading. The old LCD screens used cold cathode backlights, the newer ones use LEDs to back light them. They are still LCD screens, it's just that the marketeers call them LED.
Lastly, the old saying "you get what you pay for" generally still holds true. I won't go as far as to recommend specific models, but generally Panasonic plasma and Sony LCD (LED) tend to sit at the top of my list in terms of picture quality.
Hope this helps.
