You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
this is probably of very little interest to anyone. in fact, i'm pretty sure nobody else will post in this thread.
i've been getting into my geekyness, learning SEO etc. one part of this is understanding some basic coding (to work out H1/H2s etc), so i popped into the STW code (hit 'ctrl-u' to see it) and noticed a wee bit of coding in there at the top, which looks just like the STW logo.
made me smile - the coder has been having some fun 🙂
[edit] - i'm sure someone will come along and correct something i've said, but as i said, i'm just starting out 🙂
Yup, ASCII art in the comments = winning. Good effort. I usually try and have a little fun with variables names when I'm coding. Every little helps...
I'm a big fan of ASCII art. Back in the day (pre-web), I used to do a fair bit, it's about the only art form I was ever any good at.
The Singletrack logo in the source is just a figlet though, I think. Looks like 'roman' to me.
The Singletrack in the code has been there sometime and seems to have come through a few forum updates/changes! I think it was first noticed, by someone for more intelligent than me, about three years ago 🙂
we're rebuilding our current site, and building a new one at the same time (clearly i'm not the coder...) but i'm going to ask for him to add some of this ACS11 stuff in there 🙂
(and on a point of pedantry, it's an acronym, not ASC-2, so you use the letter 'i' not the number '1')
This was one of the funniest pieces of ASCII insertion I saw a few years ago (NSFW, contains an ASCII penis) Hacked UNIX machine
ASCII cows were my favourite
that was back in the days of being eaten by a grue
Only when it's pitch black.
(sorry, ignore)
