Apologies, I know the square root of nowt about computers these days and I know there's a few on here blessed with the knowledge.

We want to replace the desktop, need 1TB hard drive, used for internet, Microsoft office and photo editing organising.

Want to spend as little as possible but really don't want anything fragile.

Toshiba satellite I had was pretty sturdy if that helps at all.

I know nothing about laptops either though.

I would look for a minimum of an i5. That said a previous Toshiba Satellite laptop we had seemed very well built and has been passed around the family many times.

You get office 365 and 1tb cloud storage for 7.99 amonth. Might be better to get one with a smaller hard drive and better processor and as much ram as possible. As @craigxxl said, i5 minimum.

I will look into cloud storage, I guess that has to be the future.
