It's pronounced oil-rig.

The original one is ace with some butter and Wensleydale cheese.

+1 🙂

The banana Soreen is lovely as well (not with cheese though, that would be weird)

Apple interests me, will keep an eye out.

The original one, but toasted and then smothered in proper full fat butter.

Advanced warning: in my toaster it turns from "nicely toasted" to "cremated fire hazard" in just a few seconds, so you need to keep a very careful watch on the toaster.

And unplug the toaster before you try to scrape the sticky mess out of it!

It's pronounced "Sticky bread" - or that's what my old man used to call it anyway.

Soreen is definetly a loaf,
What is the consensus on 'Jaffa Cakes' is it a cake or a biscuit?

Sponge, jam and a bit of chocolate. Sounds like a cake to me.

Jaffa cakes are definitely cakes

Cake - goes hard when it goes off

Biscuits - go soft when they go off

That's the official definition afaik

You can always sift the flour first (through a fine sieve) years ago all housewives did this, not to sift lumps out but to remove the weevils.
The only problem with any form of mites is the dust(poo) from them as it can have effects on peoples respiratory function.
mix it in with a liquid and cook fine 🙂

The Apple and Currant is a bit meh.

The Original or Banana are still top dogs.

They are perfect for bike riding as a whole one goes right in the rear pocket of a Jersey, or you could get all technical and pre slice and squish it for easier grab mid-ride

There's apple and currant? Only just adjusting to banana mini loafs - rather nice. Although didn't individual portions of Soreen used to come more slice like than loaf?

I tried to eat a whole loaf of Doreen in one sitting once, made me feel well sick.

Also, my ipad autocorrected Soreen to Doreen, but I thought I'd leave it.

yup. any big day out I get malt LOAF. The banana or cinnamon ones a lush. If they don't fit in that little compartment in your camelback/rucksak, you can just squish it down & make it fit.
