The boy updated his Playstation and now has to sign in. I've put in the password but it's got a 2 stage verification set up and has sent a text to the work phone I gave back when I left my job a couple of weeks back.
Tried going through their reset routine on line but it just keeps returning me to the sign in page and tells me it's sent a verification number to the old phone. I'm guessing this is one of those pages that won't work on a mobile device and needs a PC with more details on the page?? Don't have a PC at the moment so pulling hair out.
Any Playstation bods out there can help?
Not good timing i am afraid
The Playstation network is down at the moment
Had the same issue a while back and customer services eventually got me back up and running but it locked out the second user on the account
My PS4 was unable to log in earlier this evening, so there's definitely network issues at the moment.
A few years ago I tried resetting a forgotten password. Unfortunately it was linked to an old deleted email address. Having no joy, I spoke to PS customer support on the phone and they sorted it all out quick.
Yup going to be tricky just now.

Anyway contact PS support and they'll fix the your login details.
need to Bump this back up as its got stupid now...
Basically i cant access anything unless im logged in with the 2 stage verification code....which i cant obtain!!
Tried to go on PS support but short of phoning them (mon to bloody friday!) I cant access the PS forum unless im logged in. And the only help forum as they call chat is nothing but pre loaded info guides which just dont help. Each and every time I try to get into the account settings area to de-activate 2SV or get the back up codes (which I admit I never originally recorded) I get sent round in a loop back to the log in screen.
First world problems and all but I have a 10 year old going mad at the moment (when hes not out playing)
You're going to have to phone them.
No comfort to you I'm sure but I'm encouraged to hear their 2FA isn't trivially defeatable!
