Yes I know, lots of threads on Sonos with love and hate on this forum.
I've got a few speakers in the Sonos eco-system. The one thing that didn't work for me was lack of Bluetooth connectivity. Yes most stuff can stream or from phone via Chromecast audio BUT on more than occasional times I have a requirement to stream via Bluetooth - mainly to listen to private tracks or mixes on Soundcloud / Mixcloud. Cast won't work for private (link only) tracks.
I was on the verge of pressing the button for a Roam, this is the only one of the current offering that allows BT to be shared to other speakers via Wifi. But then I heard the rumours of the Era series speakers. Looks like this does what I need, I feel an Era 100 pre-order coming on with a 'Sonos upgrade' discount...
Presumably you don’t have an iPhone. I think I think I can airplay anything to my Sonos.
all sonos speakers act as DNLA devices so iphone or android should be able to just send music to them

With BT and line in this could be the missing jigsaw piece to be able to play vinyl again without splashing out on the port.
Yeah, I just airplay to mine at home but I can see the use case for bluetooth for some.
Line in is more interesting, wondering if there's anything special about the £19 Sonos adaptor or if it's a generic USB-C one.
