Thinking of investing in the Play 3 for Dad - £259 at the mo with free bridge and 6 months Napster.

Any recommendations/experience?

What's the score with it; does it stream via the broadband router? Bought a tablet as well, so thinking he can just access radio/napster via that and just stream. Would that be right?

Couldnt be happier with it. Soooo simple to install that I managed it. With excellent sound quality.

I have a Play 3 and 5 (+ proper hi fi in the living room). Sonos is great for the convenience and sounds half decent too.

Check Richer Sounds though - they're doing the exact same bundle for £229 and were giving a free £20 gift voucher as well a week ago, but now the extra £20 is not mentioned on their web site (similar at Currys i think).

I have bought myself a bridge and connect for my birthday and Christmas present.

In the first instance I will be using it for internet radio and probably spotify.

I am hoping it is as good everyone says 🙂

Bargain, thanks - not sure on how it works though - tried to google but no joy. I want something good quality that can either play via laptop CD player, laptop hard drive or internet. He's running blue tooth speakers at the moment, which while not bad, not that good.

For spotify you need to be a premium member.

Another satisfied customer - mostly listen to the Internet radio stations that it has access to. Second use is streaming from a cheapo NAS drive in the lounge. Third use is streaming direct from me iPad/iPhone.

Got a connect plugged into my av receiver and a play 5 in the kitchen. Ease of setup, access to music/radio and quality of sound make me a happy bunny.
