Jack Sparrow featuring Michael Bolton.
Shaddap Your Face - Joe Dolce !!
Oh hang on 😉
Always felt this should have been a hit, it got played on the radio a lot, but it was the bloody Bay City Rollers of all people who covered it and made it a hit! 😣
String Driven Thing, in case the name isn’t clear.
Songs that should of been hits
Shaddap Your Face – Joe Dolce !!
Ummm…
Moses Gunn Collective - ‘Dream Girls’
The Makeup - ‘Live In The Rhythm Hive’
Drugdealer feat Weyes Blood - ‘Suddenly’
Trans Am - ‘4,738 Regrets’
And this is a curious one
Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band - ‘I’m Glad’
It sounds like a hit. It sounds like a song you’ve heard before even though you most likely haven’t. From their debut album which didn’t gain critical success at the time and neither did it chart in the US or the UK. It’s such a great, gentle, heartfelt ‘popular’ song to my ears.
XTC - ‘Radios In Motion’ (1978)
Destroyer - ‘It Just Doesn’t Happen’
Ummm…
what’s the matter?
Only one winner. Funkmasterp. mm yeah. 😂
what’s the matter?
Well, IIRC, that was the single that kept Ultravox’s Vienna from the No1 chart position, so doesn’t quite fit the thread criteria?
Unless there’s some subtlety going on I’m not getting.
I rather like the Drugdealer track, I’m really quite a fan of Weyes Blood, wasn’t aware of her work with other people.
Unlike Phoebe Bridgers, who’s working with what seems like everyone!
Unless there’s some subtlety going on I’m not getting.
Wasn't that subtle, there were words and a symbol after the video.
I like the Harry track at the start, gonna check out some more by them.
..but the Seagulls though - brilliant, i'm going to have to watch the film now
