I was stressing myself about battery light in my car remaining on after starting yesterday evening...

It was my brother-in-law's birthday yesterday. He was identified as having lung cancer in January 2019. The first type of targetted drugs have recently had to be changed due to cancer mutuation, so onto another targetted drug. However, after his regular scan, they think that a drain they put to deal with fluid earlier this year may have dislodged some cancer cells, so they are now waiting to see what the next action is. He is 58.

My sister has recently had tests, xrays, etc. She called us last night to let us know that that Oestoarthritis is present in many of her joints. She will be 50 in August.

Outwardly they are stronger than I believe I would be....getting on with their lives, continuing to work hard to ensure my youngest niece is supported in completion of her university studies, etc, etc.

Sometimes you just have to take a step back and reflect upon things....s

Yes absolutely, I was explaining to a young tyke I teach that 3 red bulls before school was pretty bad for him. Turns out he's 13, oldest of 6, has to look after siblings and hungover mum most days. Social services have them on a list, dad is a bit of a dealer and has several other families. The red bulls are breakfast and lunch and sometimes dinner too.

I was worried about whether the chicken for tonight's dinner was defrosted.

Sounds like the kid needs a sponsorship deal! Trickier job than any “extreme” sport, for sure!

True, but be careful when you have to put the insignificant things on top of the pile of significant ones.
