postie just tried to delivery a signed for letter from an insurance company with an obviously made up name
"Mr B Gul"
with my address perfectly written (which is good going as almost everyone gets it wrong) i rejected it , the postie agreed it sounded like a scam and I've spoken to the company involved who say its already in their fraud squads investigations - that's why it was a recorded letter that was sent. - although I've had no previous correspondence this is the first I've seen.
What advantage to them is there to have insurance set up at my address ? i guess they can go around crashing away and handing over that policy details and be "legal" but not tracable ?
anyone had this before ?
equally given my locale i thought "MR C Gul" would have been funnier 😀
Mr L Satian?
Mr D Obermann?
Mr A.R. Dale?
Mr K. Nine?
Mr G. Raff
Mr Z. Bra
Mr E. Machine
Mr E.S. Girl
surely the first one would be AL satian 😀
Mr T. Aintgettinonnoplanefool
might be this . infact highly likely to be this.
company have been told to get my address off of it as its nothing to do with me or this address - they did start down the line of it may be a previous occupant ..... nope I've been here a while and i know the previous occupant of the previous 50 years - and before that some chickens lived here .... but no beagles.
sorry thought you wouldn't notice. 😔
Mr B Oddie?
I've had that, more oddly it was after my mum had moved into sheltered housing, and there would be letters giving approval for motor insurance was clearly her address. I handed them back to the postie if I saw him, contacted the insurance company, and eventually handed them to the police...
There was even a V5C document once, though that was just the wrong number of house 😉
