Can anyone recommend any solar garden lights? Looking for something to have along side some steps that are a good distance away from the house.

Thanks
Wiksey

something like this?
http://www.maplin.co.uk/p/stainless-steel-solar-path-finder-4-pack-n61ek

I haven't got any but they're so cheap they've got to be worth a try, replaceable battery seems like a bonus too. (I need something similar but haven't got around to buying any yet)

Won't work that well this time of year, our solar lights only come on for about an hour this time of year....

I fitted 12v LED floodlights..

Powered by a 12v supply by the back door. 10W LED floodlights were £5 each from Ebay.

Is that a pub at the bottom of your garden? You should complain to the Council about that... 🙂

i'vegot a 30w solar panel on my shed roof that charges a 12v 10ah battery which inturns powers LED lighting in and outside the shed.

Bought the whole kit with remote control from britalitz on ebay

Thanks for the replies.
The last solar garden lights I bought were the cheapo spike ones from a garage years ago and I had hoped that there would be something better these days.
I was hoping something like these would be good for on the side of the house but also need something for in the garden for the steps - but no wall near by to attach to.

If you just want light to cover some steps via a PIR sensor when using them and not constant light they work OK.

I've one in my garden that is still working OK after 9 months. Best with a separate panel so it can be pointed to the sun with the light mounted elsewhere.

This one looks worth a punt.
