Is anyone on here running a podcast, or at least familiar with recording and/or editing software?
I have the hardware and tried it with Audible, but found it way beyond my capabilities and available time.
I am willing to pay for something instinctive and effective, and understand that this may mean getting a separate recording programme and editing programme, but wonder what you might suggest.
To be clear, this would be for voice ONLY (i.e. no music recording), and it would be nice to be able to process multiple live voices, for example when interviewing both in-person and over something like Zoom.

When I recorded an episode with him he sorted it all out but it was very easy from my end. Maybe he can you let you know what they use.
Audacity ?
^ +1 Audacity's pretty good, I use it for occasionally messing about with guitar stuff when I can be arsed.
I have Audacity, but feel like I need a sound engineering degree to understand it!
Have a look at the free version of Waveform. Does loads of audio stuff, but does have a 'podcast' template out of the box. Only issue you might have is needing separate physical inputs for you and the guests (or virtual ones if they're Zooming in) - depends on your hardware.
