I've got some friends who'll be visiting Edinburgh with their 2 year old at the weekend. They've expressed interest in visiting a soft play while they're here. I am vaguely aware that these places exist, but also that sometimes they accommodate older kids better than toddlers.
So, does the STW hivemind have any recommendations for which soft plays in Edinburgh are good, and in particular good for toddlers? I think that Time Twisters is possibly the one closest to my part of town but again it's been a while since any of my local friends have made use of it so I don't know if it's still considered decent, or how well it accommodates younger kids.
Ratho is great, think they have sections for different ages.
Obviously a little bit of a trek out but it's a great facility, can be reached along the canal as well.
Thanks for the suggestions, I think that Ratho and the Commie are a bit more accessible for me, but my friends are staying in Comley Bank, so Leith might be OK for them too.
Having just checked the Edinburgh Leisure web site it looks like the soft plays at Ratho and the Commonwealth Pool both have separate areas for toddlers, which is probably a good sign.
If it was possible to travel, there's a lot going on in Kirkliston now, could combine with a trip to the beaches/pubs at South Queensferry.
Conifox and Craigies Farm have both expanded a lot.
