Ordered a 3 grand sofa in August, got delayed due to covid which is fair enough.
Got an update it would be delivered today a few weeks back. Then a few more texts and emails to give specific time slot of 1000-1400 today.
Still not here.
Spent an hour and 28 mins in a phone queue when it rang they hung up before we could talk to them.
Emailed them, said they would reply in 3-5 days
Tweeted, no response.
Online chat, doesn't deal with delivery issues.
Lost rag, rang Store to cancel order and the bloke said 'yeah no worries, fill out a form online'
I've absolutely no idea where to go with it, I've looked online and you don't get deposit back and there's a 30% cancellation fee so we can't afford to cancel it. What the f@@k am I meant to do????
Sorry for the rant. Booked a day off for this too and took my car to garage this morning and now I've no car for work tomorrow because I've waited in all day for these morons.
Trading standards?
Is it a bespoke order?
Frustrating. But they've made the sofa and it'll be on its way. I'd be giving them some grief and trying to get some kind of compensation for the inconvenience. Long shot but giving up and getting stung for cancelling won't be worthwhile.
Credit debit card chargeback.
We've ordered a sofa from a local store and were quoted 20 weeks for delivery and they couldn't even guarantee that timeframe. Frustrating but they were open and honest, which is more than you can say for Sofology, if you read reviews the reality is they don't even have your sofa.
Have a search on Facebook for the angry sofology customers group. Lots of folks on there with similar and worse stories.
We had issues with them back in April & May, ending with us persuing the finance company and our credit card providers for a refund as you it's impossible to get any response from their customer services.
I wouldn't be surprised if your sofa doesn't even exist yet.
Possibly the worst online reviews I have ever seen.

And when it does arrive you'll hate it. We ordered £3k sofa's that were lovely and comfy in the store but are the most uncomfortable things we've ever sat on now that they're in our lounge. I've given them away for free three months after receiving them.
File a money claim on line? For the deposit back for non performance of the contract? And evidence it with a copy of your contract and deposit payment?
Ouch, I hadn't seen those reviews! Yep, credit card company charge back probably a good option. We did it after Curry's PC World stopped talking to us about our two month old telly that stopped working, a bit of back and forth explaining the situation and we got a full refund.
Blimey. Look at the Trustpilot reviews! All the 5* ones are 1 or 2 reviews only. Spamming, no doubt.
Yeah I only looked at the trustpilot reviews today. Thanks for the tips, I'll ring the bank tomorrow and see what they say. I can't speak to sofology as they seem to be impossible to get I touch with. All I'll say is stay away from them.
I ordered a sofa and sofa bed last year and it was delayed due to COVID. They kept me informed and it arrived when they said. Three months in some stitching on a seat cushion came out and made @ inch split
One phone call, one photo sent and new cover in a week......must have been lucky if all the reviews are true.
There's a running theme in those reviews..ouch.
Ouch indeed. Good luck op, what a company to be dealing with.
Doesn't sound like they have improved
Ours was delivered on ontime. A beige footstool beige 2 seater and a Grey cuddle chair! They did sort it out though
What is a cuddle chair?
Is it a euphemism? Let me guess, it's a comode with rabbit fur arm rests..
Strangely we bought a sofology sofa in February and it arrived 2 weeks later and gas been great ever since. But a colleague did the same and waited well over 6 months for his.
It's luck of the draw I'm afraid you'll just have to sit tight for now (on your old sofa that is).

It's a large round shaped chair on a swivel base
Let me guess, it’s a comode with rabbit fur arm rests..
Thats a puddle chair....
To rub salt into the wound I've just got an email from v12 finance telling me about when the payments will be coming out.
Three grand for a sofa! Jeez I'm out of touch!
I feel vindicated in using DFS after reading this, order was placed with a 12 week lead time, that slipped to 16 weeks because of supply chain issues, bu they e mailed a couple of times in the interim to reassure us that we hadn't been forgotten. Delivery date was then set, sofas turned up on time delivery team were polite and professional, moved the new sofas in un packed them screwed the feet on then removed every last piece of packaging and took it away with them. And they are great, very comfy and exactly what we wanted.
Sorry OP!
Three grand for a sofa!
Only paid £1100 for ours & it’s a leccy recliner. 🤓
From Barkers in Northallerton, delivered exactly on time.
Avoid the likes of Sofology at all costs!
Jree, the same thing happened to us. No delivery, but sofology claimed the payment from V12, triggering the start of the finance agreement.
Start a formal complaint with V12. Without delivery sofology should not be claiming the money from V12. And without proof of delivery V12 should not be issuing payment to sofology.
They're both on breach of contract at that point.
That's really helpful. I'll get j touch with them now. Cheers Andy.
Closed weekends! 😂

Sofology is a DFS brand.
By buying it on finance you've got the fca and fos behind you. Probably the best route to take!
Sofology is a DFS brand.
Yet somehow they make DFS look good

Whearas mrs_oab's colleague refused two DfS sofas due to cushions being nothing like the right size and completely wonky arm on another.
I'm fingers crossed having just bought a new sofa - thankfully one that exists, not one that needs making...
Shit quality and service seems endemic in the industry. We ordered 2 parker knoll sofas (made in Uk, top quality yada yada) last new year from a local shop. Delayed by 2 months, 1 arrived stained and the other had distorted cushions. After many failed attempts to get fixed etc. ended up them being rejected in Nov.
Now going with a local shop and maker (a bit £££ admittedly) in the hope we get what we order without faults.
Bought my last sofa from somebody on gumtree. Barely a year old, 1/3 of the new price, in stock😀, if sh1t don't buy it. People change this stuff so often that if you are patient things normally turn up.

Deffo, I have an Argos/habitat sofa. Can't remember what the full price was but it was reduced to £700. They ****ed up the first delivery but the second was okay.
About 1 year later I noticed one of the legs was wonky, so I unpicked the staples and had a look inside. It seems to be made of something like balsa wood chipboard. It weighs nothing, you can crack bits off it easily with your hands and surprise surprise, there are cracks and splits all over it.
. It seems to be made of something like balsa wood chipboard.
The blokes who came and collected our faulty parker knoll sofas were laughing when I said I thought they'd be good quality, saying they're basically made of old pallets and crap. These are £2000 sofas....
Facebook marketplace is your friend, 3 seat and 2 seat brown leather as new that someone had bought to fill a room they didn't use. Sofa's free but cost us £35 to send man + van to huge posh house to collect. Bought and delivered same day to replace previous DFS sofa which slowly fell to bits.
Facebook marketplace is your friend
Or the Ercol Factory outlet on eBay, plus a cheeky haggle. 😎
Sofology is a DFS brand.
You live and you learn, I never knew that.

DFS own Sofology . But I get your drift I;ve not had any problems with them either.
PResumably cutting corners is how they pay for those awful Owen Wilson adverts.
An update for anyone interested:
Our new Ercol arrived courtesy of some rather embarrassed delivery drivers - the sofa has a small rubbed area on the back, really low down, from the journey up to Scotland in their truck.
Despite being an unwanted order / outlet, and half price already, Ercol factory outlet refunded us £75 (and offered to take it back if needed). 🙌 Seeing as the sofa is against a wall in our lounge, that's all good.
It's rather nice to sit on a comfy and solid sofa without creaks and an MDF board hidden under the cushions. 👍
The only issue now is that mrs_oab wants the matching cuddle seat and is eyeing up Ercol dining table and chairs on Gumtree/Facething now...
