Come on Binners, he just needs time, his track record speaks for itself

Or is it prawn sandwiches from the executive box?

At least can you keep him until we come up there, Rafa will lift them for that game or 70k people might sleep together for 90 mins

To be honest mike, I can’t understand how a team with a player of the class of JonJo is so far down the table. 😀

I know, be nice if he had played/been fit more, and to have a full compliment of defenders in the squad (winger playing left back today)

Sounding better today but I am listening to Radio Newcastle - I hear fat cashley has shown up

This sums up the mood though

I'm glad I got to enjoy some of the good times

I’ve been out walking in the lakes all day, with no mobile signal. I find this the most relaxing way to approach United games nowadays. 😂

I put money on us losing though. It’s clear that it’s just a replay of what happened at Chelski in his last season. He’s lost the dressing room completely and they’ve all just downed tools. And who can blame them?

There’s something quite compelling about watching his decent into delusional madness though

Wanted Lukaku to do well at Utd but he looks awful tbh. Just can't seem to work in any side that wants to play football as he himself, with his trampoline shins, is unable to play football. So there's no coherency in the final third as he can't link play, hold it up, pass the ball etc etc. Plus the fans hate him as he refuses to do the busywork to make it look like he's trying.

He'd be fierce in a counter-attacking side where you weren't asking him to do those things, but the top sides don't tend to cede possession and play like that AFAIK.

Agree on Lukaku - I think he’d do a job for you back at Everton.

So Liverpool’s 100% record comes to an end - no biggie, a last minute equaliser away from home at a ground where they have a terrible record will feel like a win for them this evening. Blinding goal from Studge.

Fate seems to have a hand in this!

Frank Lampard will take his Derby County side to former club Chelsea in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup next month.

Rams boss Lampard, whose Championship outfit beat Manchester United at Old Trafford in round three, won every major honour during 13 years as a player at Stamford Bridge.

Jose just needs a bit more time. He’ll turn it around.....:-)

Z.Z. Is probably booked into a premier inn in Manchester waiting for the call. But I think his appointment would be a mistake. They need to go old school- Steve Bruce!

& Sturridge’s goal..!!!!

Lukaku's goal per game is decent. When the midfield features Matic, Fellaini and Pogba resembling Carlton Palmer chances will be at a premium.

Sturridge's goal was fantastic - love the look up to see where the keeper was and then the placement over power to find the top corner. He's a good sub to have! Liverpool are really going to hammer someone when they stop missing so many chances.

I think there will be a camera focused on the bench for the entire game.

It’d be nice if someone other than Rashford looked even remotely interested.

They all look like they've been roped in to play for the local pub team on a Sunday morning after a heavy Saturday night, rather than a champions league game at Old Trafford.

Absolutely *ing woeful!!!

The most pitiful United side I’ve ever had the misfortune to watch! Where do you even start on what’s wrong with the attitude of this squad. They all look like they’d rather be anywhere else. I’m starting to absolutely despise Sanchez. He gets paid how much a week? And since he arrived he’s contributed the sum total of absolutely * all!!

City dodged a bullet with Greedy Sanchez. Wonder what his crazy wages and lack of contribution have done for team morale, let alone Mourinho's recent tantrums.

Yeah how is your work rate after you boss tells you that you coloured outside the lines again and you are going to have share the group crayons rather than having your own?

I think we all know where the blame Lies.

its a slow-motion car-crash replay of his last season at Chelski. All the players hate him, and who can blame them?

Meanwhike we’ve owners who are more concerned with shirt sales in Singapore than what’s going on - or demonstrably NOT going on - on the pitch.

Maureen looks like he’s going to hold out for being sacked though, so he gets his pay off.

i look forward to tonight’s absolutely deranged post-match interview. Maybe he’ll blame Allah tonight? Or the tooth fairy? But probably Luke Shaw 😂

I see the camera is following him? Valencia looked the better team through out though, considering what level they have played at then it's abysmal. I can't wait to see black and white running them ragged on Saturday 😉

Sold out so I'll be watching from home on Saturday afternoon, I guess the geordies smell blood

Oh my god i am glad i dont pay to watch that rubbish. Mourinho must thank his lucky stars he made up with Shaw as he is the only player that hasnt really done a lot wrong. Rashford looked dangerous tonight so thats him dropped on saturday. Sanchez was bloody awful so thats him starting on saturday (are people forgettfing that he was rubbish for the last 12 months at Arsenal). Matic was pretty rubbish tonight. It was like watching united under van gaal but in fast forward. Does Carrick actually do anything?

Nicky Butt was sat with Becks watching that embarrassment. I’d love to hear his thoughts on this squad and their present ‘performance’ We look like a mid-table championship squad.

Someone gave me a shout this afternoon and said they had two tickets to go tonight for me and my daughter. I looked at what it would cost, weighed up what it was likely to be like (which was horrifically accurate) and couldn’t possibly justify it.

Normally you’d snatch someone’s ****ing hand off for champions league tickets for OT under the lights, midweek, but with this lot....?

Everything that’s gone wrong since the Glazers took over is all coming home to roost. Given how much that squad cost, and the obscene sums they’re paid, this seasons performances are an absolute disgrace.

We look like a mid-table championship squad.

Watch cardiff, newcastle or others then come back on that one.... The opposition in the championship flatters some of them.

True, but last time I looked none of those squads were paying someone who’s meant to be a striker, yet never scores, the thick end of half a million quid a week.

Any of those squads look more like they fancy it than Man Yoo at the moment.

At one point Valencia was through on the right, clear, and just stood there for about 3 seconds looking for someone to pass too. He had Lukaku, Sanchez, Rashford and Fellaini stood in front of him. And when I say stood, I mean stood. None of them moved! Not an inch! Like statues! No runs. No movement at all! Nothing! So he just passed it sideways instead.

And that just sums up United under Maureen. It’s abject! You’ve world class players who, for whatever reason can’t, or won’t play!

I was swearing at the telly quiet a lot tonight. If I’d have shelled out and gone I’d be apoplectic!

Or simply they do year one because he is new

Year 2 because they are

Year 3 they all see through him

That's the but that annoys the **** out of me, overpaid ego whankers. When I played, I didn't give a shit who my manager was, I gave 100% every game.

Top level football is a game of sheisters, I'd rather go watch the Sunday league guys now.

I think a lot of us are prepared to accept another tonking if it means the long overdue taxi finally arriving for Maureen.

Unfortunately I think the owners aren’t that interested in what’s going on on the pitch, as long as they’re selling enough shirts in Malaysia, and have found a new official handcream sponsor

I appreciate it's easier to get rid of a manager than a squad, but Mourinho is one of the best managers in the modern premier league era. There is no way his tactics will produce this kind of football, where you lose or draw 5 games on the trot.

Which makes me think the players have set out to lose, which considering the amount the fans both in the stadium, watching on tv and those around the world pay to support this team is beyond disgraceful. It's a shame the Glazers don't send some people out to end their careers and take the insurance money. Players are far far too powerful now and need to be bullied back by the richer owners.

is or was? His man management is outdated and crap, it might work if your winning but he can't bring them back from a set back, he has lost the fun and spark he had earlier on.

I have no doubt the players are on 80% there is not commitment or desire in there but it's been happening for a while. To win something you can't do it without the team.

In terms of getting things out of players just about everyone who has gone to City or Liverpool has improved, when people like Pogba look better for France than they ever have for Utd something is wrong.

I think you will find that he used to be one of the best managers... You can’t deny his record of success, but you also can’t ignore the way his managerial reigns unravel. He has got too much previous in this.

It always goes tits up in his third season

booed off at half time? I think everyone has seen more than enough of this shite! It’s getting progressively worse. We could easily be four nil down here. It’s absolutely ****ing woeful!

Theres a lot more wrong at United than just the manager though. Too many expensive, supposedly world class players who just look like they can’t be arsed

No he is not. Even if he was, which is debatable, he isn't any more. He's now a mercenary looking for his next pay-off. His man management skills are, and always have been, terrible, which is why his jobs have always started to fall apart around the 3 year mark. Players will only take so much of his nonsense before they start to rebel. Couple that with a run of bad results and the players soon say we don't have to put up with this crap.

Quite why he thinks it is good management to publicly throw his players under the bus he's just parked in front of the goal is beyond me.
