This should be interesting tonight. We’ve got to go all out, but that’s the way Ole plays anyway. Nowt to lose, as I dont think anyone’s expecting us to get owt

We’ve a cobbled together squad but Lukaku has hit some form at the moment

It certainly won’t be dull. Neither will it do my blood pressure much good

Oh god! Steve bloody McManaman is commentating on the United match! Spare us that!

He makes me want to hacksaw my own ears off and hurl them into another dimension

So who believes the rumour that OGS is just a front man and it is Ferguson pulling the strings at United?

There's been a fair bit of talk about bottlers on this thread. PSG are the biggest culprits!

Not sure how they've won that! The team they had to put out was pretty average, especially in midfield, and how they played in the first half!

Well with the decision in the City game in Germany and that one it appears it is a penalty at the moment. Players better get on board with it as complaining isn't going to change it.

The one in the Roma Porto game was a penalty all day long though

Back to the ball and not in an “unnatural” position, hard to see a penalty there.

Well the refs have been giving them as arm not being moved out of the way, arms out to increase the size of the player/target/block, turning away knowing it's coming at him etc.

Given the ref's opinions on this maybe it's us who don't know what a penalty is these days 😉

It looks like it’s going to be one of those things, like tackling from behind, that’s now going to be given every time. I was bloody glad we got the decision (obviously) but when he gave it mr first thoughts were ‘for what?’

But ... ‘you’ll neve win anything with kids’. Great performance tonight. Let them have all the possession but they didn’t do a lot with it. Really pedestrian from PSG.

Still can’t quite believe we managed that. First time in Champions League history a two goal deficit has been overturned in a second leg

He’s not doing bad this Ole bloke. Just brilliant watching the spirit in the squad. A proper United team! Plenty of ‘automatic first team’ players must be wondering if they make it into the starting line up when they’re fit again. Great position for a manager to be in. Not so great if you’re Alexis Sanchez. I hope he’s played his last game. Worst player we’ve ever signed. Hopeless!

Do either wringer did a fergie to you lot and sold him on the down or he's a player that the norse God can't get the best out of 😉 as for worst player signed I doubt he would make the top 10!

Prunier cost them pretty much nowt and was only shoved in the team because they had an injury crisis. Angel Di Maria - 60 million quid!

Hmmmm.... i’m thinking Eric Djemba Djemba might actually have been worse, but then we weren’t paying him the thick end of half a million quid a week!

I wouldn’t give Sanchez his bus fare home! He’s so bad it’s actually strangely compelling to watch

Dont forget we paid 7m for Bebe. People say that Sanchez has turned in to a bad player at United but i bet if you ask any Arsenal fan they will tell you that in his last season with them he played exactly the same as now. He was already shot with them and we stupidly bought him, only united signing i can remember who was already in terrible form.

I remember that you used to be able to buy t-shirts with ‘I saw Forlan score’, so wayward was his finishing. Then he did a reverse-Sanchez, went to Villareal and was the highest scorer in La Liga the following season

Aye, Bebe, that was the boy! ooft!

I saw Forlan playing for Villareal at Ibrox in the CL, he was absolutely different class, his movement was something else.

Binners, ye need to watch real kashmir fc on iPlayer, it's tremendous!.

Ex Rangers and Scotland left back goes to kashmir to manage, more swearing than you'll ever hear on telly, and his wife thinks she's a 50 year old wag! 😂😂😂

Forlan was a fantastic player but he was very much a continental player. In Italy and Spain, the forwards often work on set moves/plays, which are orchestrated in advance on the training field, whereas for some reason this isn't a part of the English game. In such a set-up Forlan's movement became more impactful and he could be a deadly finisher.
But I think Suarez has surpassed him as the best Uruguayan striker now as he has more versatility.

Liverpool and City slight favourites in their ties I think, Juve will go through easily and Barca Utd is 50/50 I think. United can really get at their defence and Herrera will crock Messi.

stolen from the BBC but if Arsenal & Chelsea make it to the Europa League Final fans will have to make a 4,946-mile round trip to play a London derby in Asia on a Wednesday night

Puzzled as to why Utd have been made to switch their home/away leg around when they don't even play the same night as City.Home for the second leg is surely advantageous/preferable.

Honestly Binners I still reckon your lot are worth a fiver at this stage.

When I got back from the Bournmouth game (Ole's 3rd match in charge, I think) I thought I'd check out our odds of us winning the CL. It was 40/1 so I thought it had to be worth a fiver.

But we've not got a good record against Barca. I remember watching in awe as they took us apart in the 2009 final at Wembley. It was a lesson in tactical attacking football. Its the only time I've seen Fergie stood staring and not knowing what on earth to do about it. He had no answers. The United fans all applauded the Barca players off at the end. It was a masterclass!

They did it to us again 2 years later

The present Barca squad isn't up there with that one, but its fair to say I'm not confident

I don't know, I think Barca would have preferred just about anyone else in the draw, City included.

Very hard to prepare for OGS's United, I would have thought. They have absolutely nothing to lose here, he seems to be bringing out some very unexpected performances, and is likely to show them very little respect.

True Martin. Nobody thought we had a chance against PSG either. That’s the joy of knockout competitions. It doesn’t matter who you are, have a bad day at the office and you’re out. As Real we’re just reminded

I stuck a fiver on us winning the FA Cup at the same time. Ever the optimist, me

Should be a good match against Wolves later. I really rate them and they’re great to watch. Lightning quick on the counter. They were bloody unlucky not to beat Chelski last week. Going to be a tough game

Yeah, had e=my eye on the Newcastle one as Ireland ruined the party, a Newcastle team finding it's feet again (along with some comedy defending and a couple of naps at the back) for his work rate great to see Richie get the equaliser with a screamer. And before my fellow geordie comes back saying he is no good the stat last weekend
https://www.premierleague.com/stats/top/players/total_cross
came up, most crosses in the premier league this season

Looking forward to a shorter MoTD tonight 3 games 40 mins, highest placed team 9th 🙂

Not a penalty and off side 3rd goal?

City very lucky

Stuffy there, City

Well offside and never a penalty

If you’re going to have VAR then have VAR, but not for some matches and not others.

If we’d have had VAR that match is 2-1 to Swansea

City were very lucky with the questionable penalty, rebound off the keeper and offside third but that's the way things go sometimes and City have had more than their share of bad luck in the past.

Credit to Swansea - their second goal was a thing of beauty and it is great that Celina finished it so well after his penalty mis-kick in the week.

Fabian Delph must be the most relieved man in Wales this evening as his mistake could have contributed hugely to City going out of the cup to a Championshio side for the second successive season.

They should have probably not bothered having it in the CL this year. Some very dodgy decisions, even with it. 🙂

there does need to be some "This is a penalty" clips shown to players, managers and fans at frequent points during the season, in fact they could replace the void that the betting ads will leave

We won, but we played atrociously. Some moments of magic but with the team we have we shouldn’t be 3-1 down to Huddersfield!
